Dome Arched Roof with FRP Fiberglass Soundlight Skylight

Building Featuring the Aluminum Alloy Dome Roof

This modern architectural solution combines structural innovation with aesthetic elegance through an aluminum alloy dome roof system. Designed for large-span applications, the dome utilizes high-strength aluminum I-beams for optimal strength-to-weight performance, connected by robust stainless steel grooved rivets and precision aluminum alloy nodal discs. The integrated FRP skylight panels provide exceptional natural daylighting, while the corrosion-resistant aluminum construction ensures long-term durability and low maintenance. Lightweight, aerodynamically efficient, and visually striking, this system is ideal for stadiums, arenas, atriums, and other spaces where form and function converge seamlessly.

Building Featuring the Aluminum Alloy Dome Roof

Aluminum alloy dome roof building with innovative engineering and aesthetic design. Characterized by their streamlined, arched or domed forms constructed primarily from aluminum alloys, these structures leverage the unique properties of aluminum to achieve lightweight durability, structural efficiency, and striking visual appeal. They are increasingly favored in modern architecture for applications requiring large-span spaces, complex geometries, and sustainable performance.

Features At A Glance Material Advantages of Aluminum Alloys:

Lightweight yet Strong/Corrosion Resistance/ Formability/ Sustainability Structural and Aesthetic Merits of Curved Forms: Mechanical Efficiency/ Aerodynamic Performance/ Aesthetic Versatility The system’s strength and reliability are derived from its meticulously engineered components and connections: Primary Structural Frame: Material: High-strength aluminum alloy.

Key Member: The main load-bearing elements are I-beams with a flange width of 300mm, a web thickness of 11mm, and a flange thickness of 15mm. This profile offers an optimal strength-to-weight ratio, capable of handling significant loads with minimal material use. High-Strength Connection System: Fastener: Stainless Steel Grooved Rivets. These are high-performance blind rivets (similar to Huck or Cherry-type fasteners) that provide a vibration-resistant, permanent, and high-clamp-force connection.

Connector Node:

Thick Aluminum Alloy Disc. These discs act as critical gusset plates or nodal connection points within the dome’s geodesic or grid framework. The 6061-T6 alloy is precipitation-hardened, providing exceptional tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and weldability, making it ideal for highly stressed structural joints.

Daylighting Feature:

Skylight Cover: FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) Sheets. These translucent or transparent panels are made of glass fibers embedded in a polymer resin matrix. They are lightweight, impact-resistant, and provide excellent diffuse natural light transmission. The FRP cover is seamlessly integrated into the aluminum grid, offering weatherproofing, UV resistance, and thermal insulation properties.
